AC service co. says compressor is leaking? Compressor appears to work when charged with freon. found no sign of leak in hi or lo pressure lines, but, wont hold charge? leaking somewhere? no smell inside, from evaporator. put dye in system, showed up nowhere.

Follow the upper radiator hose to the engine. Where it connects is the thermostat housing. Remove the 2 bolts holding it on and replace the thermostat. Notice on the middle of the housing is a bolt. 26 Feb 2010Under the small bell housing where the upper radiator hose connects to the top of the engine. Make sure you install the new thermostat the same way the old one was installed, since they sometimes can be installed backwards.
