Behind the dash inside the HVAC box. Gotta pull dash out of the truck to get to it. 6-7 hours to complete the job . No job for the novice do-it-yourselfer.

Yes you will have to remove the dash to replace that heater core. you will also have to recharge the ac. good luck with the repairs

you have to remove the dash the the heater box and disassemble it to get to the heater core,its takes me about 5-6 hours to do one,usually for a beginner its about a 7-8 hour job by the time you get it all put back together and working again, it helps if you have good [...]

Before I’d invest in such things , I’d be sure to check the quality and level of the coolant , next be sure that the thermostat is opening , you can test the coolant with the engine cold and a anti-freeze tester that you can buy at walmarts etc for about 8 bucks , plus [...]

I’m trying to flush a cooling system. I cant get the water to come out where the thermostat is on top. It wont just get a little foam when I rev it. Heater core is plugged right?
