I have a Ford E450 and I understand there is a solenoid on the firewall that controls voltage between the chassis battery and the coach battery. How do I test it?

I am restoring my Dad’s 1958 Ford Fairlane 500 for him, but have hit a snag. The old frame was not boxed in very well and has some pretty shotty welds on the crossmembers and rails. Rather than spend alot of hours repairing the old frame i would like to try to find a custom [...]

Hummm I would suggest you call Ford Motor company and find out from them.
Are you talking new or used. How many?

Is the fuel gauge tied into the ignition box under the steering column?

brake light and turn signal light on the left rear

Try your local Junkyard/Salvage Yard. Most times you can remove them yourself. Thus making them inexpensive. You may want to call around to them first. Some places rmove these items themselves.

I specifically need just the rear half of my chassis. It has rusted and broken right where the bed meets the cab. So, I really could use the drawing and measurements of the raw chassis with locations of exact holes for the spring brackets and etc. Ford Ranger, VIN 1FTYR14CGWPA12088. Thanx a million!

It is hand made out of metal and looks almost like the stock bodywork, just wider.

I am bummed, I have a 454 engine, good 12 bolt main, and good body but the frame near the power steering is cracking/twisting
is it worth salvaging or fixing?
It has began pulling to the left now

I drive a 2002 GMC Sierra. When I first got it, I could hear a odd metal sound coming from the “backseat.” It was still under warranty, so I took it into the dealership. They ended up lubricating something (I think brake related), but I’m not sure. After that the sound was gone. Only recently [...]

This grease is required by my owners manual for the front drive shaft thrust bushings on my 2006 Toyota Tacoma 4WD. Would another, more reddily available grease be suitable? If so, can I mix different types?

Hi. We’re expecting a baby in October and have been looking for a car seat. Initially we wanted an ISOFIX one but seeing the lack of range, we would go for a conventional one too.
I don’t intend to use a pram or similar, I want to use a sling. However, if the grandparents ever have [...]
