I needed to mount a 5th wheel hitch for my 1989 Holiday Rambler. The project went smoothly and took two days of thinking and a day to install. I bought a brake controller and the truck was already prewired for trailer. Be careful as when the ford brake light rail goes low it does not [...]

So I took my car to Firestone today to get my air conditioning fixed – they quoted me $1700.00 to get it fixed.
980.00 in parts, around 800 for labor.
They say that I need a new AC compressor with clutch, a dryer and a condensor.
I came online to check out the parts price and unless I’m [...]

Just follow the radiator lower hose and you will find the thermostat housing at the end of it, connecting to the engine block. Coolant inlet uses lower hose and upper hose for returning coolant.

Under the small bell housing where the upper radiator hose connects to the top of the engine. Make sure you install the new thermostat the same way the old one was installed, since they sometimes can be installed backwards.

your better off if you don’t come off the main head light switch for wiring those up because dodge had a lot of problems from some of the switches on those and the dodge ram trucks,if you can come off with a separate circuit wired to a switch it will be a lot less strain [...]

If it is a diesel then it has a separate vaccum pump. A vaccum hose might have come off

I want to remove the door panel so I may remove the stock speaker and replace it with my own. How do I do so?

How often should we change the oil filter on a 2001 GMC Jimmy? I don’t believe you change the filter EVERY time you change the oil, and we’re using Castrol Syntec …the really expensive good synthetic stuff.
Thanks!

I wanted to change the heater core on my 2001 dodge ram 1500 truck and I tried looking up step by step direction on how to change it but nothing came up so i was wondering does anyone know step by step directions on how to change it if you could help me out I [...]

I recently fell off of my bike, and the upper left, upper right fairings are broken. Also the back tail-light covers are broken as well. The back passenger seat fairings, gear change lever, and right side driver foot peg are broken as well.
I wanted to know where could i buy replacement parts, i’ve searched google [...]

Maybe your damper doors aren’t working. When you turn the defrost on, an electronic door opens and allows heat to come through the defroster.
Turn the radio off, put the fan speed on low, click defrost, and listen for a motor sound. If you don’t hear it.. your doors probably aren’t working.

I have been told it’s in the central electrical unit but have no idea where that is located.

Any tips? Do you pull it from the bottom, top…Where to find an exploded view of the cooling unit?
Any help you could give would be greatly appreciated.
Step by step details.
Looked for a Chilton manual, there isn’t one.

Brakepads are about $150 for front and $150 for back for genuine porsche parts (so count in $300). Oil depending on what you choose (they recommend Mobile 1 synthetic) + an OEM filter comes close to $60. If the dealer does it then it is around $150.
Most dealers charge anywhere between $75 to [...]

I cant find it anywhere and it doesn’t even mention a fuel filter in the service manual.

Like the other person said you could wire the lighter to power source that is switched with the ignition. But that may cause other problems like blowing a fuse or damaging the other item, say you run it to the wipers.
If the power locks are on the same line, than your door locks would [...]

I own a 2001 Ford Mustang, V6 3.8L Auto. I’m about 98% sure the ignition coil has gone out but I want to test it anyway. I have Chilton’s repair manual and I’m honestly not getting a clue how to do this. I’m not stupid, I do most all routine maintenance myself (oil changes, [...]

What do you mean by the sequence on the ignition coil? Need more info. What are you trying to do, replace it?

I have a 2001 Ford Escape XLS that is misfiring sometimes, and I was told to change the coil pack. Is this the same as the ignition coil pack? I have a new fuel pump, and a tune-up and the car is still misfiring. Please help.

We have tried pushing the key far back andturing the wheel but it doesnt work .
