As for true EFI 1982 was the 1st year with the firebird 2.5L 4 cyl TBI and the trans am 305 crossfire (dual throttle bodies)
But they started using an engine control unit (computer) and a feedback style carb in 1980 IIRC

Sure.
All Pontiac v8s are the same size externally, so dropping in a 455 would be almost simple.
Fuel injection would be quite a bit more work since the car wasn’t designed for it, but it can be done. In that case you would probably want to find an EFI engine out of an ‘85+ GM car ...

I actually prefer the older version of the bike. I think they should’ve changed carburation to fuel injection instead of giving it a new look. But actually, with as little money as they’ve spent on the bike over the years, they should’ve given us the new look AND fuel injection at the current MSRP. Europe ...

what does fuel injection do, by having fuel injection does it make running the vehicle cheaper compared to not having fuel injection and by what % improvement and savings?

I was at Kragen/Auto parts looking for a fuel injection cleaner for my 91 miata. I saw a wide variety of them. GUMOUT Fuel injection cleaner, VALVOLINE synpower complete fuel system treatment, DURALUBE, G2P, ETC. Anyone know or suggest or can recommend a good Fuel injection system cleaner.

I am thinking about getting a Blackbird and I wanted to know when they went from carbs to fuel injection and which is going to be better. Most people will say fuel injection is better but I have found that I like my carburated F4 better than my friend’s F4 that has fuel injection.

It’s a 1974 Kawasaki G5.It has oil injection,I was wondering if i can cut off the injection spout,and premix my own fuel.But is the carbuerator made to handle fuel and oil?That’s my main question.Any help is much appreciated!Thanks!!
