autozone online is saying that the distributor has to be removed to change these parts, im wondering if i should buy a whole new distributor, but a new one cost $140, if i just buy the parts its only like $60.. anyone know how long it takes to swap out a distributor?? just trying ...

my husband changed the distributor cap, and rotor and now no spark. I called the tec and he said he had to of broken the wires on the distributor or timing belt broke. Can the wires be fixed without buying a new distributor?

LONG story short- I’ve changed my distributor cap and rotor, plugs, fuel filter, wires etc. What could be the cause for a continous misfire? They mechanic said I may need a distributor. Is he correct? Thanks
