My Car Won’t Start And The Mecanic Thinks It Might Be A Clogged Air-intake Value, Rather Than A Fuel Pump I

I’m sure he meant valve…
Why do you think it’s the fuel pump?
There are many ways a car can “Not start.” When you turn the key to the ON position can you hear the fuel pump buzz? If so, it’s getting a signal and it works. If not, look into the relay, pump and wiring.
If it turns over but won’t run it could be fuel or ignition related. A clogged air intake valve is possible, but have him show it to you so you understand what’s going on. Also if you still think it’s the fuel pump have him check it directly to see if it’s receiving a signal and if it’s responding.

If a “mekanik” says I THINK IT MIGHT BE that is the time to find another shop. An educated mechanic ( there aren’t many ) will test tha system for problems and then tell you what the problem is and what it will cost. Stay away from dealers. Here is a $3 way to check if it is the fuel pump. Go to the auto store and get aersol carb or intake cleaner. Spray directly to the higher intake or throttle body and have a friend try and start the car. If it turns over for 1-2 secs and stalls then it is the fuel pump. Mechanic trick.

you are about to get suckered. there is no such thing as an air-intake valve, as far as i know. First get a second opinion, and second go to a parts store to see if this valve exists. i have rebuilt a few engines and have never came across this value. most likely it is the fuel pump.
