you are about to get suckered. there is no such thing as an air-intake valve, as far as i know. First get a second opinion, and second go to a parts store to see if this valve exists. i have rebuilt a few engines and have never came across this value. most likely it is the fuel pump.

Here is a $3 way to check if it is the fuel pump. Go to the auto store and get aersol carb or intake cleaner. Spray directly to the higher intake or throttle body and have a friend try and start the car. If it turns over for 1-2 secs and stalls then it is the fuel pump. Mechanic trick.

If a “mekanik” says I THINK IT MIGHT BE that is the time to find another shop. An educated mechanic ( there aren’t many ) will test tha system for problems and then tell you what the problem is and what it will cost. Stay away from dealers. Fuel pump pressure is easy to test to eliminate that as a possible problem—have them hook up a fuel pressure test gauge to the test port on the fuel rail of the engine and see what kind of pressure you’re getting with ignition on….if it’s low compared to specs, it could very well be your problem is that or something related like relay or fuse.
Not sure what an air intake valve is–have the mechanic show you on the engine exactly where it is and what it does. Some people have weird names for things–not a factory nomenclature. Then call around to various shops or dealers for a price comparison—parts and labor.

Why do you think it’s the fuel pump?
There are many ways a car can “Not start.” When you turn the key to the ON position can you hear the fuel pump buzz? If so, it’s getting a signal and it works. If not, look into the relay, pump and wiring.
If it turns over but won’t run it could be fuel or ignition related. A clogged air intake valve is possible, but have him show it to you so you understand what’s going on. Also if you still think it’s the fuel pump have him check it directly to see if it’s receiving a signal and if it’s responding.

Those old trucks use several fuse link wires at the positive battery terminal. Nissan back then does not use fuel shut off. Some time you need to let go of old crashed truck for something a little more modern.

try checking your wires that go to your fuel pump,should be under the passengers side seat bunched up with the computer box wiring,follow it maybe your ground wire along the chassis got cut in the accident. fuel pump wires run under passengers side w/rear tail lights.

Check the front end parts first. Did you ever hit or went over pot holes etc? check suspension, steering column, racknpinion, inner & outer tie rod ends, etc…

Yes, it could be a bearing, CV axle, tire out of alignment, or something under the hood out of place, e.g. fan.

you’ll have to call around and find out. personally, i like to pick out my wheels first and then worry about the tires a little later. that way you have more options as far as where you get your wheels and what kind you get.
